I love it when local bloggers are able to get together and mingle [especially when food is involved]. The lovely Candace from Live Love and Read put together a night of bloggers+tacos at the Kitchen Columbus last night and of course I used the opportunity for a photo opp.
I have purchased a few items from Zara over the years but would always end up returning due to fit. This off the shoulder crop top is the first purchase I made that I actually kept. I love the tops unique print and style. I paired the top with Mango high waisted kick flare jeans and simple black sandals.

Here in Ohio the heat and humidity is all kinds of intense. Since I walk to work, I’m always trying to wear outfits that are airy so I’m not drenched in sweat by the time I get to the office. I own this amazing white cami dress from ASOS that I purchased for NYE a few years ago but unfortunately it’s a little too riskay around the neckline and not very office friendly. One morning I quickly threw a chiffon button down from H&M over the dress and tied it at the waist and thought to myself “hm, this could work.” I wasn’t a fan of the tied waist so instead I added an ASOS waist belt to give the outfit the illusion of a shirt and skirt.

Brides nowadays are allowing a lot more contrast when it comes to their wedding party:
Some still go full blown matching style + color
There’s matching colors but different styles
Different hues of the same color with matching styles
Different hues of the same color with different styles
..And in my case, a list of colors with free reign over print, length, material and style.
This was by far the easiest [and wallet friendly] bridesmaids dress I’ve ever had to find!
A lot of the other bridesmaids went the floral route, but I chose a solid taupe/gray maxi with high halter neckline and double slit detail. It was also fun to help some ladies pick out their dresses and see everyone’s style come together and make something beautiful.
Tell me brides-to-be, would you be this laid back/versatile? Just take a look at the finished product and you may think twice about going the traditional route!
For the passed two years I’ve been involved in a great initiative that goes on in Columbus – Fashion for Philanthropy. This is an event where local shops donate clothing to be featured in a pop up shop and sold at up to 80% off! Not only do locals get amazing deals on designer pieces, but part of the proceeds benefit Dress for Success.
The floral maxi dress I’m wearing is one of the pieces from the sale I styled and posted on my social media accounts to promote the event. I love when I can combine my love of fashion with a great cause!
I love a great all black look. Typically when I style an outfit this way, I incorporate different materials and textures. In this case, I styled my go to LBD slip dress with my favorite leather jacket. A waist belt with zipper detail and leopard booties tied everything together.
I was on the lookout for a great winter to spring transition jacket/coat [you know, the kind that’s not too heavy, not too light]. I found this perfect shade of red beauty and had to have it! The jacket also has the perfect amount of arm room [super important for layering] so anytime it’s a little chillier outside a chunky sweater fits perfectly under it!
What’s your go-to transition jacket? Let me know in the comments below, because I’m still on the prowl for the perfect trench coat!
When the lovely ladies from local boutique Rowe asked me to be in their annual fashion show I was just too smitten! The fashion show is not only a great way to view the latest fall fashion from the boutique, but part of the proceeds from ticket sales go to supporting the Jack Roth Fund, an amazing organization that helps raise money for lung cancer research.
The outfit they styled me in was a gorgeous [and comfortable] wool coat, a gray graphic tank, girlfriend jeans and an ear jacket. The makeup artist was amazing and needless to say I am not use to having my eye brows like this, but I dug it!
It was my first time walking down a runway but I decided to just go with the flow. The ladies also asked me to take a selfie mid runway, so I went for it! Sometimes you need to step out of your comfort zone and this was by far one for me! I honestly don’t even remember going down the runway because it happened so fast and there were so many lights!
A bright accessory can elevate any monochromatic or black and white look. I purchased this ALDO bag for a few reasons:
I needed a go-to bright bag to be added to my wardrobe
It was the perfect size – not too big or small – because I rarely carry much anyways
It is a crossbody bag but works perfect as a clutch just by tucking the strap in
The shade of yellow goes with just about everything in my closet
It was at a great price!
I finished off the look with a statement bangle to add contrast to the long black sleeve and voila! For the office, an office party, date night, or an event, you’ll be sure to get many compliments on this look!
