If you live in an area that gets pretty intense winters, you more than likely need a heavy duty coat of some sort – especially if you’re outside every day, even if only for 10 minutes. Since I walk to work or take the bus, I need a coat that will keep me warm in this freezing weather! A heavy duty winter coat does not mean you need to sacrifice style. Color, fur accents, texture and cinched waists are only a few things you can look for when shopping for cute outerwear.
Not going to lie, this cold weather is making me feel all kinds of “meh.” One thing that helps me kick the winter blues is a lot of brightness – white bright to be exact. Ever since I was younger the whole “no white after labor day” rule never applied to me because white is a shade that makes up a majority of my closet. There are different variations of how you can mix your whites and neutrals during winter (matchy matchy white or shades of whites and neutrals). For this look, I styled a camel coat with white skinny jeans, taupe boots and a cream sweater.
